Did I tell you guys about this?

I didn’t? Oops, well its official. The night before this years national beard and moustache championships, there will be a national fake beard competition! The Whiskerinas (USA’s Women’s Beard and Moustache Club) are hosting it.

Much like the men have natural and freestyle categories the women will have realistic and creative categories.

Everyone who is going to nationals should go to this as well. I can only guess how awesome it is going to be.

I’ll be here judging this event. Should be an awesome time. I am not sure if there is a prejudging or anything but here’s a little more in depth look at the categories. Full Beard Natural - No Aids Full Beard Groomed - Aids Freestyle Moustache - Allows Natural MoustachesFreestyle Beard - Anything GoesPartial Beard - Allows AidsFake Beard - Arts and Crafts (Bring your A+ game) The way I look at it, what I do to my face is freestyle. The partial beard and full beard groomed categories allow aids to help shape the beard. I’ve have that way of looking at things for a while but I’m not really sure if many other people have. Full Beard groomed is definitely a shorter beard that is either trimmed into a nice shape or something along the lines of a Verdi. The more competitions I go to I feel like I should be competing in the Partial Beard category, so maybe that’s how it will work here. We will see on the night.

Being really reluctant about trimming the end of my beard. It’s so much thicker at the top, but I really don’t want to cut as much off as I will have to to make it all even. I wish I had grown out the whole goatee at the same time rather than making it a little bigger every once in a while (Going to try to do this again soon). It will all even out at some point but I am trying not to cut any hair until after Nationals…
